Health and wellbeing

We’ve pioneered accessible health solutions that create lasting positive change in the communities we’re a part of.

Helping communities live healthier lives

Over 20,000 successful GP referrals. More than 40,000 graduates from health schemes. Nationwide programmes reaching communities where they need us most. By taking an evidence-based approach to leisure and wellbeing, we’ve delivered measurable impact.

We lead the transformation of leisure services into vital public health assets, working in partnership local authorities, NHS England, and the Department of Health and Social Care to improve community wellbeing. Our innovative Healthwise programme provides targeted support through exercise referral schemes, specialist rehabilitation programmes and broader health initiatives.

What matters most to us? Improving the quality of life for those in the communities we serve. We do this by building up meaningful knowledge of local participants and, increasingly, through innovative approaches like co-location, as seen in our work in Cumbria and Lincolnshire, which allows us to better integrate our services with local healthcare. We consider their needs - mentally, physically and socially. We look at ways to tie in with public health initiatives. Then we create programmes that do good for each community, while reducing the pressure on local NHS services.

From cardiac rehabilitation to weight management programmesopen_in_new, we help everyone take positive steps to better health. For proof, just look at the social value our services bring to communities everywhere.
